Caroline Clive

1801–1873

Caroline Clive (1801–1873), who wrote under the pseudonym V., was an English writer, known chiefly as the author of IX Poems.

The poems here are taken from Alfred H. Miles (ed.), The Poets and the Poetry of the Century (London: Hutchinson, 1891–1897), vol. 10, from the Internet Archive scans of that edition. Spelling is that of the anthology; Miles's biographical essay and extracts from longer poems are omitted, and only poems that could be read cleanly from the scan are included.
