Dafydd Nanmor

fl. 15th century

Dafydd Nanmor was a fifteenth-century Welsh poet, named from Nanmor near Beddgelert. He wrote love poems in the manner of Dafydd ap Gwilym and later found patrons in South Wales; the Dictionary of Welsh Biography calls him a poet of note but dates him only to the fifteenth century.

The poem here is George Borrow's English version, taken from his Wild Wales and printed in Welsh Poems and Ballads (1915).
