Charles Dibdin the Younger

1768–1833

Charles Isaac Mungo Dibdin (1768–1833), the son of the songwriter Charles Dibdin, was a dramatist, songwriter and theatre manager, long connected with Sadler's Wells.

The poem here is the song on the frigate La Loire, which C. H. Firth prints in Naval Songs and Ballads (Navy Records Society, 1908) as written by Mr C. Dibdin, junior, and sung at Sadler's Wells.

  1. La Loire Frigate, or Yeo ! Yeo !
