Francis Dingley

Francis Dingley is known only as the author of The Battle of Brampton, or Flodden Field, a poem on the Scottish defeat of 1513 included in A Mirror for Magistrates. Haslewood gives no dates for him.

The poem here is taken from Joseph Haslewood’s 1815 reprint of Part III, where it is signed “qd. Frauncis Dingley”.
