Thomas Edwards

Thomas Edwards (1699–1757) was an English lawyer and critic. His Canons of Criticism (1748) attacked Warburton's edition of Shakespeare, and he wrote sonnets in the manner of Milton.

The sonnet given here, on a picture of his brothers and sisters, was printed in the second volume of Dodsley's Collection of Poems (1748).
