T. Fannin

d. before 1887; dates not given by Wilmot

T. Fannin is named in the preface to The Poetry of South Africa, collected and arranged by A. Wilmot (London: Sampson Low, Marston, Searle & Rivington; Cape Town: J. C. Juta & Co., 1887), where Wilmot calls him “the late T. Fannin, who used in the olden days to sing his own rhymes in right good style”.

This archive holds the one poem, The Smouse, which Wilmot prints in his preface from lines received from Natal; no dates or biographical details are given there.
