Lucius Harwood Foote

Lucius Harwood Foote (1826–1913) was an American diplomat and poet, long resident in California, who served as the first United States minister to Korea (1883–1885).

The poems printed here are those given in Stedman's An American Anthology, 1787–1900 (Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1900); the text is taken from that anthology.
