Gottfried von Neifen

Gottfried von Neifen, a Swabian nobleman, was one of the most prolific minnesingers of the thirteenth century, known for polished dance songs and summer lyrics.

Two of his songs appear here in Frank C. Nicholson’s translation, Old German Love Songs (1907), made from the minnesingers of the twelfth to fourteenth centuries.
