David Gray

1836–1888

David Gray (1836–1888) was a Scottish-born American journalist and poet, born in Edinburgh. In 1856 he joined the staff of the Buffalo Courier in New York, of which he later became editor, resigning on account of ill health; he died at Binghamton.

His letters, prose writings and poems were collected and edited by J. N. Larned in 1888. He is not to be confused with the Scottish poet David Gray (1838–1861), author of The Luggie.
