Hiltbold von Schwangau

Hiltbold von Schwangau, a knight from Schwangau near Füssen in the Allgäu, was a minnesinger of the early thirteenth century whose songs are preserved in the Codex Manesse.

One of his songs appears here in Frank C. Nicholson’s translation, Old German Love Songs (1907), made from the minnesingers of the twelfth to fourteenth centuries.
