Michael Hogan

Michael Hogan (1832–1899), the "Bard of Thomond", was a wheelwright from Thomondgate, Limerick, who published Lays and Legends of Thomond (1880). He left Ireland for New York in 1886.

The poems here are taken from H. Halliday Sparling's anthology Irish Minstrelsy (London: Walter Scott, 1888).
