2nd–3rd century AD

Hsü Kan is dated by Giles to the 2nd and 3rd centuries AD, the last years of the Han dynasty. His poem here speaks in the voice of a wife whose husband is away.

The poems here are Herbert A. Giles’s versions in Chinese Poetry in English Verse (1898), given with the poet’s name as spelled in that book.
