Jonathan Lawrence

Jonathan Lawrence (1807–1833) was a young New York poet who died early; friends collected his poems after his death.

Griswold included 4 of his poems in The Poets and Poetry of America (16th edition, Philadelphia: Parry & McMillan, 1855), the anthology from which the poems here are taken.
