Leonidas of Alexandria

1st century AD

Leonidas of Alexandria is the Roman-period epigrammatist famed for his isopsepha, epigrams whose lines each add up to the same numerical value. Paton's Index of Authors includes the poet among those of Book VII. The scan of Paton's index of authors used here does not give a date for the poet; the date shown is the conventional one.

This archive carries the 6 epigrams ascribed to the poet in the second volume of W. R. Paton's prose translation (Book VII: 547, 548, 549, 550, 668, 675).
