Li Hua

c. AD 850

Li Hua is dated by Cranmer-Byng to about AD 850. He is represented by “An Old Battle-field,” a long poem on a desolate field where the dead of many dynasties are said to be heard at night.

The poems here are L. Cranmer-Byng’s version in A Lute of Jade (1909), given with the poet’s name as spelled in those books.
