Li Yu
Li Yu (937-978) was the last ruler of the Southern T'ang and a celebrated writer of lyrics. Fir-Flower Tablets prints this poem only as the work of "a descendant of the founder of the Southern T'ang dynasty" (circa A.D. 960); the editor identifies the writer as Li Yu, and the date above is the book's own.
The archive holds this one lyric from Fir-Flower Tablets (1921), a poem of separation set in an empty courtyard on an autumn night.
