Liu Chung-yung

8th–9th century AD

Liu Chung-yung was a T'ang poet of the eighth and ninth centuries. His poem here is a four-line piece on a soldier's long guard on the frontier.

The poem here is Witter Bynner and Kiang Kang-hu's versions in The Jade Mountain (1929), given with the poet's name as spelled in that book.
