Muhriz ibn al-Muka'bir

7th century

Muhriz ibn al-Muka'bir, of Dabbah, celebrates in his ode the victory of his tribe with divisions of Tamim over Madhhij in the second battle of al-Kulab, probably fought in A.D. 611 or 612. He was not present at the battle.

Lyall adds that the poet was then a pagan but may have become a Muslim later in life.
