Nâ'ilî

d. 1666

Of Na'ili little is known, says Gibb, save that he was a native of Constantinople, that his real name was Yeni-Zade Mustafa Efendi, and that he held a position under government.

The poems here are taken from E. J. W. Gibb's Ottoman Poems (1882), the first English verse translations of Ottoman poetry; dates and biographical details follow Gibb's Biographical Notices.
