John Shaw Neilson

John Shaw Neilson (1872–1942) was an Australian lyric poet, born in South Australia and raised in western Victoria. He worked for most of his life as a rural labourer, and his eyesight failed in later years.

His poems were championed by A. G. Stephens; six appear in The Oxford Book of Australasian Verse (1918).
