Richard Niccols
Richard Niccols was an English poet educated at Magdalen Hall, Oxford. For the 1610 edition of A Mirror for Magistrates he added ten new tragedies of English kings and princes from Arthur to Richard III, preceded by an Induction, and he rearranged the whole work in chronological order. He also wrote The Cuckow (1607) and The Furies (1614).
The poems here are taken from Part IV of Joseph Haslewood’s 1815 reprint. His long poem England’s Eliza (Part V) is not included here.
