Nilus Scholasticus

date not given by Paton

Nilus Scholasticus is one of the named epigrammatists of the Greek Anthology. Paton’s Index of Authors gives no date for him; the title Scholasticus (a lawyer or man of letters) is common among the poets of the sixth century.

This archive carries the 1 epigram ascribed to the poet in the fifth volume of W. R. Paton's prose translation (Loeb, 1918): Book XVI: 247.

  1. Book XVI, 247: On a Satyr in Mosaic at Antioch
