William Brighty Rands

1823–1882

William Brighty Rands (1823–1882) was a British writer and one of the leading authors of nursery rhymes of the Victorian era.

The poems here are taken from Alfred H. Miles (ed.), The Poets and the Poetry of the Century (London: Hutchinson, 1891–1897), vol. 5, from the Internet Archive scans of that edition. Spelling is that of the anthology; Miles's biographical essay and extracts from longer poems are omitted, and only poems that could be read cleanly from the scan are included.
