Regenbogen

fl. c. 1280–1318

Regenbogen was an itinerant Spruchdichter of the late thirteenth and early fourteenth centuries, remembered as a rival of Frauenlob and revered by the later Meistersinger.

One of his songs appears here in Frank C. Nicholson’s translation, Old German Love Songs (1907), made from the minnesingers of the twelfth to fourteenth centuries.
