Robin Ddu
Robin Ddu (Robin Ddu ap Siencyn Bledrydd of Anglesey) was a Welsh poet who flourished about 1450. Around ninety of his poems survive in manuscript, many of them prophetic; he sided with the Tudors and made a pilgrimage to Rome in 1450.
The poem here is a fragment of an ode to Anglesey in George Borrow's English version, from Wild Wales, printed in Welsh Poems and Ballads (1915).
