Rudolf von Fenis

Rudolf von Fenis, count of Neuchâtel in what is now Switzerland (d. 1192), wrote minnesongs that follow Proven00e7al and French models closely.

One of his songs appears here in Frank C. Nicholson’s translation, Old German Love Songs (1907), made from the minnesingers of the twelfth to fourteenth centuries.
