Carrie Bell Sinclair

Carrie Bell Sinclair (1839–1883) was an American poet of the South who wrote lyrics for the Confederate cause during the Civil War.

Two of her songs, "The Homespun Dress" (to the air of "The Bonnie Blue Flag") and "The Soldier's Suit of Gray", are reprinted here from W. L. Fagan's Southern War Songs (1890).
