Siôn Tudur

d. 1602

Siôn Tudur (died 1602) was a Welsh poet of Wigfair near St Asaph, Denbighshire, who served for a time at the court in London and was made apprentice chief bard at the Caerwys eisteddfod of 1568. The Dictionary of Welsh Biography gives only his death date, 3 April 1602.

The poem here is George Borrow's English version, taken from his Wild Wales and printed in Welsh Poems and Ballads (1915).
