Elizabeth Stoddard

Elizabeth Drew Barstow Stoddard (1823–1902) was an American novelist and poet, born at Mattapoisett, Massachusetts. In 1851 she married the poet Richard Henry Stoddard and thereafter lived in New York City.

She began to contribute poems to the periodicals a few years after her marriage; her verse was collected in Poems (1895). She is not to be confused with her husband, Richard Henry Stoddard.
