Sung Tzŭ-hou
Sung Tzŭ-hou is dated by Waley only to the second century AD. The poem translated here is a small dramatic ballad on a girl who breaks a branch of blossom, in which the tree and the girl speak in turn.
The poems here are Arthur Waley’s version in A Hundred and Seventy Chinese Poems (1918), given with the poet’s name as spelled in those books.
