Sung Yü

4th century BC

Sung Yü is dated by Giles to the 4th century BC. He is traditionally counted a follower of Ch’ü Yüan and a poet of the southern state of Ch’u.

The poems here are Herbert A. Giles’s versions in Chinese Poetry in English Verse (1898), given with the poet’s name as spelled in that book.
