Jefferys Taylor

Jefferys Taylor (1792–1853) was an English author of books for children, and a member of the Taylor family of Ongar; his sisters Ann and Jane Taylor were the authors of Original Poems for Infant Minds and Rhymes for the Nursery.

His Aesop in Rhyme, with Some Originals (1820) retells Aesop's fables in light verse. He also wrote prose works for young readers, among them The Young Islanders and The Farm.
