Theoctistus of the Studium

d. c. 890

J. M. Neale's headnote says only that Theoctistus of the Studium is said to have been a friend of S. Joseph, and that he is known to us by the Suppliant Canon to Jesus, found at the end of the Paracletice. His heading gives the year of death as about 890.

This file gives Neale's single piece, a cento formed from that Suppliant Canon, which begins 'Jesu, Name all names above' (Hymns of the Eastern Church, 1862).

  1. Jesu, Name all names above
