Robert Calverley Trevelyan

Robert Calverley Trevelyan (1872–1951) was an English poet and translator, a member of the Trevelyan family and a brother of the historians G. M. Trevelyan and Sir Charles Trevelyan. He published volumes of verse and verse plays, and translated Theocritus and Lucretius, among others.

Edward Marsh printed his short lyric 'Dirge' in the first Georgian Poetry volume (1911-1912); that is the poem reproduced here.
