Ulrich von Winterstetten

Ulrich von Winterstetten, a Swabian nobleman at the Hohenstaufen court, wrote songs and long leiche in the courtly tradition of the thirteenth century.

One of his songs appears here in Frank C. Nicholson’s translation, Old German Love Songs (1907), made from the minnesingers of the twelfth to fourteenth centuries.
