John Veitch

John Veitch (1829–1894) was a Scottish philosopher and critic, born at Peebles and educated at Edinburgh. He was professor of logic and rhetoric at St Andrews and later professor of logic at Glasgow.

His verse includes The Tweed and Other Poems (1875) and Merlin and Other Poems (1889).
