Walther von Metz

fl. 13th century

Walther von Metz was a thirteenth-century minnesinger known from songs preserved in the Codex Manesse and from a mention in a poem by Reinmar von Brennenberg.

One of his songs appears here in Frank C. Nicholson’s translation, Old German Love Songs (1907), made from the minnesingers of the twelfth to fourteenth centuries.
