George Meason Whicher

George Meason Whicher was an American classical scholar and poet, born in Muscatine, Iowa, in 1860 and educated at Iowa College.

He was professor of classical languages at the Normal College of the City of New York, edited Greek and Latin school texts, and contributed essays and verse to periodicals.
