Yaziji-Oglu

d. 1449

Yaziji-Oglu, also called Ibn-Katib, lived at Gallipoli with his brother Bijan, who was likewise a mystic poet; the poem here comes from his Muhammediyya.

The poems here are taken from E. J. W. Gibb's Ottoman Poems (1882), the first English verse translations of Ottoman poetry; dates and biographical details follow Gibb's Biographical Notices.
