The Tempest
Prospero, the usurped Duke of Milan, has lived twelve years on an enchanted island with his daughter Miranda, served by the spirit Ariel and the savage Caliban. When his enemies sail past, he raises a storm and wrecks their ship, and through illusion, music and a courtship between Miranda and Ferdinand he brings them to repentance. In the end he forgives his brother, frees Ariel, and abjures his magic.
