Quatrain XXXIX

by Abu al-Ala al-Ma'arri 973–1057

Translated by Henry Baerlein (1909) · From The Diwan of Abu'l-Ala (1909)

Religion

The region of unfaltering delight,
So may you gather from the fields of night
That harvest of diviner thought, the stars.
