Living
I have been a foster long and many day
From Early English Lyrics (1907)
Living
I have been a foster long and many day;
My locks ben hoar.
I shall hang up my horn by the green wood spray
Foster will I be no more.
All the whiles that I may my bow bend
Shall I wed no wife.
I shall bigg me a bower at the woodés end,
There to lead my life.
