Social Commentaries
On the same (The higher that the Deluge rose)
From Two Bookes of Epigrammes, and Epitaphs (1639), Book II
Social Commentaries

More upward did the Arke ascend:
So in the deepest waves of woe
More Heaven-ward our affections tend,
And sad affliction oft doth prove
A beaten path to joyes above.
