Social Commentaries
To Thomas Dixie, Gentleman
From Two Bookes of Epigrammes, and Epitaphs (1639), Book I
Social Commentaries
Thy stature is (like mine) but low,
Yet as the Gyants once did throw
Huge Hills on Hills, so hast thou laid
Vast Law on Arts, and thereby made
A passage to Fames house on high,
Like that to Ioves, the Galaxy.
