Not too fast
From Two Bookes of Epigrammes, and Epitaphs (1639), Book II
Social Commentaries
Swift as a sylvan Roe was Asahel,
Yet (overtooke by Fate) he wounded fell
In following Abner. For in veyle of night
Close by the ground flyes death, and puts to flight
The bold'st pursuers: and from life of grace
Too frequently they fall, that honour chase.
