The Soules Center
From Two Bookes of Epigrammes, and Epitaphs (1639), Book II
Social Commentaries
Our bodies in the flitting ayre can take
No rest, nor in the flowing water make
Abode, but on the solid Earth remaine,
Whose ground-worke doth the unweildy world sustaine:
No more can Soules (for lasting joyes design'd)
In watry wealth or airy honour find
Sure comfort, but in him that all things moves
Must rest, and there concenter all their loves.
