To Dabbler

by Thomas Bancroft fl. 1633–1658

From Two Bookes of Epigrammes, and Epitaphs (1639), Book I

Social Commentaries

Are jagg'd, pink't, stucke with Flowers of Rhetorick,
That smell all Poesie; yet please they none.
How happens that? they're out of fashion.
