Copernicus his opinion

by Thomas Bancroft fl. 1633–1658

From Two Bookes of Epigrammes, and Epitaphs (1639), Book I

Social Commentaries

Stood as Spectators, while the earth did move:
Nor did he farre from ground of reason stray,
Sith earth takes paines, and Heav'n keeps holy-day.
