Social Commentaries

Rome hath a batrayne vine, yet doth not spare
With a strong hedge to compasse her about.
We haue the true vine, which we do not care
To fence against the wilde boares rooting out.
If my poore prayers may be heard in time,
I would we had their hedge, or they our vine.
