The Mind
Who court obtain
From Further Poems of Emily Dickinson (1929)
The Mind
Who court obtain
Within himself
Sees every man a king;
So poverty of monarchy
Is an interior thing.
No fate depose
Whom Fate ordain—
And who can add a crown
To him who doth continual
Repudiate his own?
